Hershel Russell is psychotherapist, a queer community activist, and political organizer. Russell was initially very involved in the lesbian and dyke community, began to identify as trans in the early 1990s, and stresses the importance of being visibly trans in the Queer Liberation Movement, for those who can. Interview conducted on 17 October 2011 by Davina Hader.
