Pride

The Metropolitan Community Church of Toronto’s Pride worship services were first held in 1993 at the Maple Leaf Gardens. The service became part of Pride Toronto’s program as “Church on Church Street”. 

MCC Toronto won several awards during Pride such as The Pride Award in 1993 and for Best Overall Float / Vehicle in 2008. In 2005, MCC Toronto was the Honoured Group for the Pride Parade in recognition of their advocacy for human rights and social justice. During the 2014 WorldPride in Toronto, Reverend Dr. Brent Hawkes was the Grand Marshal of the Pride Parade.
