Description
El-Farouk Khaki is the founder of Salaam, was the grand marshal in Pride Toronto, and has sat on numerous boards and committees. Khaki identifies as a queer, brown, Muslim immigrant, as well as a Canadian lawyer and advocate. He discusses the multiplicity of his identities and how that contributes to a larger liberation. For Khaki, it is through liberation of the mind and opening the heart, through which all change is possible.
