Hello. My name’s Asya. What you’re listening to is one of my favourite singers from my childhood. He used to have a show as well with the kids, and it would be so fun to watch. He is very inspirational and also, he is kind of doing this psychedelic music. He’s one of the fathers of psychedelic music, and meshing it with folk music, Turkish folk.
I want to be a cloud. But not made of steam. I want to be a cloud of fluid. But not soft. I want to be a cloud flying and walking down at the same time. I want to be grounded, but I want my feet off the ground. I also want to be seen differently, but I don’t want to be seen unequally.
I want to be welcomed with my contradictions. I want to be welcomed but also celebrated, and that’s kind of why you’re here. And that’s why I’m here. I will celebrate even when I’m feeling down and the days are not really going “wow!”, even if I'm depressed and doing my crochets, even if I don’t want to associate with other people and I just want to be left alone. I want everything to be possible, but without excluding, without making anyone sad. But also I don’t want to make myself sad or compromised.
I want to sacrifice but also I don’t want to be consumed. And I feel sometimes I’m just living it, but then I don’t know what will come after.
