A soft, full-colour portrait of me standing quietly among the tender, reaching limbs of a willow tree. The leaves cascade around me in delicate strands, like nature’s own curtain, parting just enough for me to be witnessed.

The filtered light falls through the greenery, catching on my skin in warm, scattered patterns, as though the day itself is reaching for me. Some leaves frame my face while others blur gently into the foreground, creating the feeling of a dream.

I face the camera with a slight turn of my body, and my gaze is both soft and searching.
My curly hair, slightly tousled by wind and routine, and my gold septum ring catches the light, glimmering.

I am wearing an earth-toned shirt, layered with a dark jacket, my lips resting on the edge of a smile. At this moment, I don’t have to explain my gender, my softness, my strength, my ancestry, or my ache. Everything I carry is held by the branches and the light.
