Events & Organizations
Crucial to the gay and lesbian movement was the rise of non-governmental organizations and clubs made up of everyday citizens who were part of the LGBTQ2+ community, or allies. T-shirts allowed these groups to display who they were and what they stood for, whether that be a political goal or simply to play a sport while openly queer. They also used shirts to advertise events they held.
