Khaki identifies as a queer, brown, Muslim immigrant, as well as a Canadian lawyer and advocate. He discusses the multiplicity of his identities and how that contributes to a larger liberation. Kinsman has been involved with the radical and revolutionary left and became involved in the Gay Liberation Movement in the mid-1970s, was an executive on the board of the Gay Alliance Toward Equality and was involved in the massive resistance to the bathhouse raids in Toronto, among other activist actions. Hannon has been involved in the Queer Liberation Movement as a journalist, photographer, and through street-level activism. He authored the controversial article "Men Loving Boys Loving Men" for The Body Politic in 1977; Hannon discusses the controversy, subsequent raid on the magazine's offices, and the charges laid against him.
