Description

Alan Li is a physician, community organizer, activist, artist, and became connected to the gay community and gay liberation movement through Gay Asians of Toronto in 1981. Li was involved with the formation of the Coalition Against Homophobia, and in creating social spaces that allow non-activists to contribute politically. Li discusses the importance of intersectionalities within the LGBTQ movement and the need to create spaces for all voices. Interview conducted on 16 October 2011 by Dr. Nick Mulé.
