Janine Fuller (1958- )

Janine was born and raised in Toronto before moving west in 1989. After catching the last Via Rail train across Canada, she settled in Vancouver, landing there mostly as a result of two root canals and poor cash flow. Over the years she has written plays and two books, been a performance artist, and worked in a few bookstores. Janine started working at Little Sister's Book & Art Emporium in 1990, the same year that Little Sister's filed its court case against Canada Customs and the Canadian government. The lawsuit eventually found its way to the Supreme Court of Canada, seeking to secure the fundamental rights of free expression for all Canadians.
